2009 Tournament Season is off and running!
2009 is off to a great start here at Empire Ranch. We just had our first Major of the year and Jeff Hoffman was our gross champion, while Mark Laloggia was our net champion, congratulations guys, great playing! We are now starting our NCGA qualifier season with the 4 man team event in March. We will send one team to represent us at the next qualifier event in May. In April, we will have the 2 man qualifier. You can have up to 3 teams if you wish, to help try to qualify for this event. This tournament is a lot of fun and is very competitive, so start figuring out who you want to pair up with. Tony Morabito has us playing Granite Bay this month, and he has got a great response from the membership. This tournament will likely set a new record for attendance to an away tournament. In April we are going to Yocha-De-He which is at Cache Creek Casino. This is a great layout and will be well attended also. I would like to thank all of you who are supporting our tournaments. We are getting great turnouts for our last two tournaments and I think we will build upon that once the weather gets better. We finally have daylight savings back, so we can get more golf in now in the evenings and work on our games. The staff at the golf course has done an outstanding job of keeping our course in great shape with all the wet weather we have had as of late. I would like to welcome you to attend our board meetings that we hold at the restaurant side of the pro shop. We are holding them on the 2nd Thursday of every month, so drop by, drink a beer, and let us know whats on your mind. If you are not able to attend you can always email one of us.
